On November 16-18, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman will pay official visits to the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Finland.
The program of the visit to the Kingdom of Sweden envisions audience of Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and a meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada will also meet with Speaker of the Sweden's Riksdag [the Parliament] Urban Ahlin and members of the Riksdag group for cooperation with Ukraine and with Third Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag Esabelle Dingizian.
In the Republic of Finland, Groysman will meet with its President Sauli Niinisto and Speaker of the Finnish Eduskunta [the Parliament] Maria Lohela.
Groysman will also negotiate with the Ukrainian community of Finland.
In his Friday interview for the Rada TV channel, Groysman noted he expected the visits to deepen the cooperation with the said two countries. He said both Sweden and Finland were the countries Ukraine could take for a model, in particular, in the issues of decentralization. "We have to deepen actions coordination, inter alia in interparliamentary work," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said. "I believe that such visits make us closer to each other," he said.
